Tribe Simba Tekken Pro Player DarkTempest wins 2nd Place at the Africa Esports Championship Kenya Finals

Even after conquering South Africa, Tekken pro DarkTempest(DT) stuns the African scene once again reaching 2nd place at the African Esports Championship (AEC) Kenya Finals Event held on 12th December by AEC Kenya. The event was held on closed doors with only online spectatorship as he faced against some of the most feared in Kenya’s Tekken Competitive scene such as Watchmen’s Mickey, Masters Of Mayhem’s Frost and Rampage Clan’s Shoryuken all that made it to the Final 4 Showdown. The young generation seems to have a different vibe towards gaming and esports in itself. Hence, the Pride had to accommodate the space and recruit and nurture some potential young lions. In the roster comes multiplaying personality and Team Captain Blitz, Content creator and streaming personality Tedward, his duo partner in crime Schwizzy, gifted and confident player Better, and upcoming players such as KirruAlvin, Cheriz, and Lightning.

Our main Tekken pro lion, DarkTempest(DT), reached 3rd place at the Capetown Showdown 7 Annual tournament in South Africa this weekend. The event happened from 7-8th at the V&A Waterfront in Capetown with some of the most respectable names in Tekken Competitive showing up to the event. It was quite the highlight as DT was the only pro player from Kenya as his counterparts from other teams such as Watchmen’s DVK, XiT Woundz’ QueenArrow, Masters Of Mayhem’s Frost and AlphaPlay’s Mickey could not make it to the tournament due to various reasons. The pressure of representation of Kenya was upon DT at this point who had a name to make.
